Our story
Started in 2000, still in the family
Malaga Suspensions was established in 2000 by Colin Johnson and his wife. Colin had already spent 25 years in the suspension industry and was a keen car enthusiast, heavily involved in motorsport. That motorsport background is what pushed him to open a family business that could do the niche suspension work properly.
We started in a small unit in Malaga. Inside about a year the business had outgrown it, and in 2001 we moved to our current premises on the corner of Oxleigh Drive and Denninup Way, where we still are today.
Around Perth, Colin has earned a reputation as the person to ask about suspension. Racers and non-racers alike trust him and the team with their cars, because Malaga Suspensions is more than a workshop. It is a family business, and we take service, customer relationships, standards of work and fair pricing seriously.
Colin’s hands-on experience runs through everything we do. He has restored his own 1968 Camaro and 1957 Chevy, so if you are taking on a project or restoration of your own, you are in capable hands with the Malaga Suspensions team.

We are the Western Australian distributor for Dobinsons Springs, Bilstein Shock Absorbers and German-made H&R Springs, and we stock a wide range of other quality brands. Holding our own stock means we are not waiting on suppliers, so most work is turned around the same day.
We were named Bilstein Australian Dealer of the Year every year from 2007 to 2014, and we have held that standard ever since.
